What started with a father and son collecting together became something their whole family built together.
HOW IT STARTED
IT STARTED WITH THE HOBBY.
CollectX began with something pretty simple: Nick and his son, Cameron, loved collecting.
Cards gave them something to chase, talk about, trade, and enjoy together. Over time, the idea of opening a shop started to take shape—not just a place to sell cards, but the kind of hobby shop they would actually want to spend time in.
Once that idea became real, it stopped being just Nick and Cameron’s project.
It became ours.

FAMILY BUILT, FROM THE GROUND UP.
When they say CollectX is family built, they mean it pretty literally.
From the beginning, every member of the family has had a hand in bringing CollectX to life. Nick took on much of the construction himself, helping transform an idea into the shop you see today. His wife, Hanna, shaped much of the design and creative direction while helping build and manage the business behind the scenes.
Their son Cameron has been at the heart of CollectX from the beginning. His love of collecting helped spark the idea for the shop, and today he runs the day-to-day business alongside his dad. For many customers, Cameron has become one of the familiar faces they know when they walk through the door.
Their son Landon plays an important role behind the scenes, helping with inventory, scanning and listing cards, and keeping products moving into the shop’s system. He also steps in to help run the store whenever he’s in town and needed.
Their daughter, Jolie, has found her own place in the family business through Jolie’s Corner, bringing a fun new side of collecting to the store and helping make CollectX a place where younger collectors feel at home, too.
CollectX may have started with a shared love of the hobby, but building it has truly been a family effort from the ground up.

JOLIE’S CORNER.
Jolie’s Corner grew from Jolie’s own personality and the things she loves. She helps choose the squishies, sensory toys, mystery boxes, and other fun finds that fill her section of the store.
It’s become a place where younger visitors can find something of their own while the collectors in the family browse cards—and another little piece of CollectX that reflects the family behind it.

THE DETAILS MATTER.
There are pieces of our family throughout the shop that customers may never know the story behind.
One of them is a golf painting from Augusta National that belonged to Nick’s late father. Today, it hangs inside CollectX.
It’s a small detail, but an important one.
Because CollectX wasn’t assembled from a corporate store plan. The space was designed, built, stocked, and shaped by our family—one decision at a time.
That’s what makes it ours.
EVERY COLLECTOR STARTS SOMEWHERE
A SHOP FOR THE WHOLE HOBBY.
From the beginning, the goal was never to build a shop just for experienced collectors.
CollectX was created to feel just as welcoming to someone searching for a grail as it does to a parent bringing in a kid to buy their first pack.
Since opening, that’s become one of the best parts of the shop—serious collectors talking cards, kids discovering the hobby for the first time, families coming in together, and longtime collectors finding their way back to something they once loved.
The shop is always changing, with sports cards, Pokémon and other TCG, sealed wax, singles, slabs, memorabilia, supplies, and new finds constantly making their way through the doors.
But at its heart, CollectX has always been about more than what’s in the cases. It’s about the people who walk through the door and the connections that happen because of a shared passion for the hobby.

CollectX is proud to call Pelham, Alabama, home.
Located near Oak Mountain Lanes, the shop was built to be more than a place to buy and sell cards. It’s a place to stop by and see what’s new, talk cards, make a trade, or simply hang out with others who enjoy the hobby.
As CollectX continues to grow, so will that community—through trade nights, events, and more opportunities to bring collectors together.
